30 years ago, the Lakewood Ranch community was launched to embody the value of ranch life - respect for the land with a focus on community for people of all ages and lifestyles. Today, there are 15 villages with planned events, clubs, charitable endeavors, lifelong learning, and business pursuits. Over 50 square miles, Lakewood Ranch is the size of a small town with all of the conveniences of shopping, dining, and state-of-the-art medical facilities, too--I can attest to that.
Homes within the different villages range from condos, townhomes, villas, and single-family homes starting in the $300,000's--to luxury homes. Various amenities in the different communities include clubhouses, pools, fitness centers, pickleball--and many more.

The tortoise preserve is an area of 38 acres for the threatened gopher tortoise. Explore 150 miles of trails, paths, and boardwalks weaving through wildlife habitats, lakes and oak hammocks. This is an experience that residents enjoy each day!
Everything is nearby with three town centers: Main Street, Waterside Place, and the Green, each offering unique entertainment, dining, shopping, and opportunities for home ownership, rentals, and seasonal rentals. From retail therapy to sunset happy hours, conveniences are literally right around the corner.
Main Street is lined with cafes and boutiques, specialty shops, international restaurants, cinemas, and various other services. Every "First Friday," boasts of live music benefiting local charities. Upcoming events: Sep 6 - Cassie Jean and the Fireflies (Indie, folk rock & Americana); Oct 4: Alan Grant Band (rock, blues & country). Visit the Saturday morning farmer's market, have a cup of coffee, and connect with other happy neighbors.
